- Pick two visualizations in the categories “art” or “Knowledge Networks” or “music” or “semantic networks”.
Write a 300-word blog post to accompany your screenshots of the two visualizations. In it, explain what made you choose these two. Following on from your work this week with the readings by DuBois and D’Ignazio and Klein as well as the chapters by Meirelles and Lima, how do these visualizations exemplify the difference between static and dynamic visualization? Do the visualizations provide multiple ways to interact with the data, allow it to be viewed from different perspectives? Do these visualizations contribute to new and emergent ways of understanding the material? Include one quotation from each of the readings in your post to support your claims. - Now choose two projects from the DH Sample Book and briefly analyze them, answering the same questions.
